WHAT YOU CAN DO?

Acting as pilot-in-command in single-engine helicopters with a maximum take-off mass of 2,000 kg, carrying a maximum of 3 passengers.

Course description

The Light Aircraft Pilot LAPL (H) licence forms pilot pilots in single-engine helicopters, with a maximum certificated take-off mass of 2 000 kg or less, carrying a maximum of 3 passengers. Way that there are never more than 4 people on board.

Course duration

Approximately 2 months.

Course structure

The applicant must complete 100 theoretical hours. During the course the following topics will be studied:

  • Aviation law
  • Human factors
  • Weather
  • Communications
  • Principles of Flight
  • Operational procedures
  • Flight planning and performance
  • General knowledge of the aircraft
  • Navigation

It consists of 40 hours of flight instruction in helicopters of which, at least 35, have flown in the type of helicopter to be used for the skill test and must consist at least:

  • 20 hours of dual command flight instruction.
  • 10 hours of supervised solo flight, including at least 5 hours of cross-country flight with at least 1 flight of at least 150 km (80 NM), during which 1 full-stop landing at an aerodrome Other than the one of departure.

The applicant will demonstrate an adequate level of knowledge to overcome the following subjects:

In addition, you will perform a skill test with the helicopter with which you have performed the flight practices.
