WHAT YOU CAN DO?
With the Night Flight rating you will obtain the necessary competences to exercise the attributions of your license in a night flight.
Course description
The VFRN Night Flight rating is intended for private helicopter pilots who want to be able to fly helicopters during the night, under the rules of night visual flight (NVFR).
With this rating, pilots with PPL (H) license, will obtain the necessary competences to exercise the attributions of their license in a night flight.
Course duration
Maximum 6 months.
Course structure
The applicant will have completed a Night VFR course by completing at least either R22, R44 or EC120:
- 30 theoretical hours
- 15 hours flight with the relevant helicopter
Exams
The applicant will have completed a Night VFR course by completing at least either R22, R44 or EC120:

- 15 hours flight with the relevant helicopter
Requirements to complete the course:
- PPL (H) License
- Class 2 medical certificate
- A minimum of 100 flight hours as a helicopter pilot of which:
- 60 hours as pilot in command
- 20 hours of cross-country flight
- Possession of relevant type rating
