Course description

The Private Pilot Helicopter License PPL(H) from PPL(A) or CPL(A) provides our students with both theoretical and practical ability to pilot a helicopter for private and particular use.
We instruct our students about all the knowledge required by civil aviation and under the EU regulations for the correct obtaining of the private PPL(H) helicopter pilot license.

Course duration

The Private Pilot Helicopter License PPL(H) from PPL(A) or CPL(A) can last for 4 to 6 months depending on the time spent by the student and its availability.

Course structure

The applicant must complete 50 theoretical hours. During the course the following topics will be studied:

  • General knowledge of aircraft
  • Performance and Flight Planning
  • Principles of flight
  • Operational Procedures

In the flight phase, the applicant must complete 39 hours of flight instruction, in a previously agreed schedule, and the final exam with an authorized examiner. The fleet with which these workouts will be performed will be Robinson R22.

Exams

The applicant will demonstrate a level of knowledge appropriate to overcoming the following subjects in a period of 12 months:
  • General knowledge of aircrafts
  • Performance and Flight Planning
  • Flight principles
  • Operational Procedures
